Rashon Murph's musical odyssey began in Columbus, Ohio, where he started playing the piano at the tender age of three, under the loving guidance of his mother. His prodigious talent and passion for music led him to the prestigious University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. After graduation, Rashon embarked on an exhilarating world tour with the legendary Bootsy Collins, marking the beginning of his professional career as a musician.

From Touring to Producing

Rashon's fascination with music production started early, experimenting with sounds on a vintage workstation keyboard gifted by his parents. His passion for creating music only grew stronger as he toured and produced for various artists. Seeking new horizons, Rashon moved to Atlanta, a vibrant hub for music and creativity. There, he collaborated with diverse talents and ventured into the realm of TV music production. Additionally, he joined a nationwide tour with the legendary group Xscape, showcasing his dynamic performance skills. Rashon also performed with Xscape on Thanksgiving Day on Good Morning America, adding a notable national television appearance to his impressive list of accomplishments.

A Star on Screen and Stage

Atlanta became a pivotal point in Rashon's career, where he worked on the music for Season 2 of Greenleaf, produced by Lionsgate and aired on The Oprah Winfrey Network and Netflix. His talent even landed him on-screen cameos in seven episodes. The soundtrack for Season 2, which featured Rashon's contributions, was released and went on to win a Stellar Award, marking a significant milestone in his career. Rashon's versatility shone through when he was cast as a musician in Miles Davis’ band for the movie Miles Ahead.

Hollywood and High-Profile Collaborations

In 2019, Rashon took his career to new heights by moving to Los Angeles. His impressive resume soon caught the attention of major artists and brands. Rashon played with Kanye West for his Sunday Services, worked with Jennifer Lopez on various shows, and contributed to her iconic Super Bowl halftime performance and Saturday Night Live appearance. As a music director, he has led music for some of the area's biggest churches and worked with some of the nation's top artists. His production prowess earned him a credit for the soundtrack of the movie Marry Me, specifically for the song "Marry Me (Ballad Version)" performed by Jennifer Lopez. Rashon's collaborations extend to working with renowned artists like Ciara and Fantasia.

Rashon's ambition to collaborate with the world’s biggest brands led him to work with ABC and Disney on numerous televised musical performances, including their beloved Holiday Specials. He arranged the strings for Disney's 50th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, a piece performed live by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. Through his relationships with Disney, Rashon had the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as Tori Kelly, Ne-Yo, and country music star Jimmie Allen. Rashon's talents have also been featured in music for Country Music TV.

Now, Rashon is channeling his extensive experience and passion into building his own music production house, Vibry Music. Vibry Music is a dynamic team of creatives dedicated to crafting music for both brands and artists. In addition to his work with Vibry Music, Rashon, alongside a production colleague, pioneered the Afro beats movement known as Afrobeats Worship. This partnership has opened doors for Rashon to collaborate with some of the world's most prominent international artists. With several singles already released, they are set to debut their full EP in the fall.
